An American Industrial artifact, circa 1883–1910! Made by H.C. Faber & Son Co. of Utica, N.Y. — one of Victorian America’s most celebrated trunk makers. This raw hide combination trunk was commissioned by The Old Colony Shoe Co. of Brockton, MA, once the shoe manufacturing capital of the United States. The original hand-painted script lettering, deeply patinated cast iron hardware, and untouched aged surface make this a one-of-a-kind statement piece. Interior retains original linen lining, manufacturer’s label, period care instructions, and shoe sample dividers!
