Buh Bye Online Store…..

I have always been optimistic that I can continually take on projects …. a farm…a business..(My Wits End)…..another business(Lucketts) an event( Spring Market) another business( the Design House) I could have a family……(three boys) ….I could make distant customers happy with an online store (ShopLucketts)… We could start classes and teach people how to paint their own furniture…(Amy Howard Paint classes) we could have a monthly Flea market…

I could re do a 1799 manor house and turn it into a vacation rental and wedding venue…(the Retreat)……

and I did…

Until one day I woke up and realized while I truly love what I do…. I work 7 days a week, and am moderately stressed out all of the time. So this is the year I am going to be a little more focused on doing what I love most….finding killer stuff for Lucketts…and making Lucketts Store the best possible place to shop, and ramp up our love for refinishing furniture.

In order to do this, I need to cut some things off of my list. So I’ve decided, that while I really did want to make our long distance customers happy, it really is not in my best interest to continue on with the online store. I learned that selling online truly is a completely different business model from having a physical store. I am a very tangible person….I need to see, feel touch everything I am doing……so sitting in front of a computer screen is not really aligned with my strengths.

I would like to thank Emily for being a genius with amazing magical powers ….my son Wyatt for setting the whole thing up…learning the process, being a great photographer, and getting the whole thing going in the first place, and Molly for doing a fantastic job over the last six months with only half hearted support from me.

It has been a great learning experience, and I’m happy to have given it a whirl, but I’m also happy to say Buh Bye online store…

Thanks everybody for supporting it, and I hope, if your a long distance shopper, you’ll find your way to Lucketts someday!

Your’s in having a happy life,

manor house

New goodies in our online store!

lucketts new 2 18 2015We have some new goodies in online!  We’ve found some great new products for the online store and couldn’t wait to share them with you!

What I love about this woven metal basket is just how versatile & attractive it is!  It’s perfect for storage and we love the way it looks with some firewood for the winter.  The woven distressed metal is so unique looking!

DA3159_1You know we LOVE unique lighting.  Check out this pendant light’s combination of rustic industrial with glamor chic!

DA2838_1This arrow chalkboard is adorable and perfect for messages.  How cute would this look at a wedding?

This distressed coat rack was a hit at The Design House.  We just love the numbers on the hooks and it’s distressed finish.

DA2641_1We always sell out of our Turkish olive buckets, so when we saw these smaller versions with a great handle, we had to bring them back to the online store.  This set of two metal baskets are great and you’ll find a million uses for them!

This flower vase with lid sold out at The Design House.  We love the carrier as well as the removable lid with a built in flower frog for easy flower arranging.  This vase is a beautiful alternative to display flowers.

We are in love with the graphics on this new canvas laundry bag!  Dirty laundry never looked so pretty!

This chalkboard on a stand is perfect sitting on a buffet, listing out a menu.  Use this in a kitchen for notes and as a to-do list.  We love how it rotates, and it looks like it belongs in a fancy patisserie!

Check out all of our new finds in our online store!

The Online Holiday Collection is here!

We’ve been searching high and low to find items we love.  We have many of these in our Holiday Design House, but they will sell out, so we’ve held a few aside for our online customers!

We just love our signature wreath that we used in our advertising for the Holiday Open House this year.  It’s knit on styrofoam base with a pretty burlap ribbon accent.

These distressed banners are perfect to fill a wall, add as a table runner, or add some holiday cheer!

I love the pop of red on this stylized deer wreath hanger.

Our Merry Christmas banner is perfect to perk up a holiday table or as a wall hanging.

Our signature wreath really goes well with any decor and color scheme.   It’s really sophisticated.

Love these owl place mats!  Perfect for a holiday table!

Our dove wreath hanger has a rustic finish, but adds a tasteful touch to your front door.

Our antique finish garland is lightweight and the retro colors and finish really bring a nostalgic look to your tree.

We just love this sweet little green pedestal.  Perfect on a table or in your holiday vignettes.

This glitter flower shaped tree topper packs so much punch.

This beaded snowflake tree topper is a show topper!
We had to select & order these items in the spring, so we cannot get them back in once they’re gone!

Lucketts Look for Less

Just cruising around Pinterest today, and checking out all the great lighting and accessories….  We stumbled on a few photos, and thought, “wait, we HAVE that!”

We found some lighting and really pretty photos from decorators and realized some of our items were inspired by these same looks.  We also saw some lighting from higher end decorating stores, and guess what?  We have something similar for less!

Here are a few goodies we found out there {and we have too!}…

This has to be one of my favorite entries.  I love the black and white coastal look.  This image is from Muskoka Living Interiors and features some great anchor hooks.

We got some great anchor hooks in online this month and they’re $19 each!  (AVAILABLE HERE)

Back to school time!  Love this oversize map wall paper and the sunburst mirrors in this image I found on Shelterness.

Yup, we have three mirrors online right now in our online store, Shop Lucketts, for sale that range from $24 to $198!  (AVAILABLE HERE)

This cutie came in online Thursday and is $24! (AVAILABLE HERE)

These really beautiful cage lights were clustered together and made in to a light fixture (which sells for $489 here).   So creative with an industrial twist!

We have three styles of very similar pendant lights that sell for $39 each.  Couldn’t you just as easily cluster them yourself to make a similar fixture?  (AVAILABLE HERE)

This was a favorite whoa moment today.   Restoration Hardware has a really cool looking metal orb light fixture.  Their 18″ x 19″ x 21″ version is $595  (The larger one in the second picture is $995).

Here is our 20″ round metal orb chandelier.  This pic was taken from a past Design House, but we put a few available for sale online.   Oh, and ours is $189.  (AVAILABLE HERE)

Our new striped throws ($98) remind us of European grain sacks —- swoon!

This new anchor hook ($19ea.) adds so much nautical character to your space.

We love this cheeky sign!  Our bed and breakfast sign ($45) is back in stock and ready to make your guests feel (sort of) welcome.

A great garden hook set ($39) is perfect for an entry way, mud room, or your favorite gardening spot.

Sometimes it takes months to get customer favorites back in.  These were no exception.  Happily we have your favorite urns ($29ea.) and moss spheres (2 for $19) back in stock online!

What’s new this week in store & online!

The summer is a time to wind down a little bit — the Design House is closed until August, we are concentrating on refilling our spaces and getting reengergized.

This week, we have a few favorites back in our online store and the shop is full of some great pieces this week.

Here are our new finds for the week…

Our favorite metal sign is back in our online store in a big way!  This reproduction of a gas station sign is one of our favorite words!   Check it out {here}

Our wood beaded chandelier is $249 and a customer favorite.  It’s been tough getting them back in, but they are here now online!

Now for what just came in to the shop!

We also are welcoming a new dealer in one of our pavilions, Dale.  Dale is passionate about welding together found objects and making them in to something new.  He sees beauty in everything, from an old rusty fence piece to a car part.  Here is one of his sculptures!

Stop by the shop this week or online and see what we have!

A few online favorites are back in stock!

One of the challenges of having an online store is balancing order quantities with demand.  We love everything in our online store, but sometimes we’re surprised how quickly some items sell out.  Then we’re surprised again how difficult it can be to get them back in stock from distributors.

We’re happy to report that a few favorites we’ve been waiting for the online store came in to the warehouse yesterday!

The first time we had our happy place sign online, it sold out within a few hours.  It’s finally back!

We’ve waited months for our aqua pocket watch clocks to come back in.  They’re finally here!

Another favorite is our wood beaded chandelier which has been on back order for two months.  We just got a few in stock yesterday!
Our big red barn compass is made from metal and 41″ across.

Aside from these back in stock items, we have a ton of items online, so be sure to visit our online store, Shop Lucketts.
