Thank YOU dear friends!

Whew! Were you one of the 10,000 or so happy shoppers at The Clarke County Fairgrounds this weekend? Our hearts are happy and our bodies tired, and we hope it was the epic weekend we envisioned for us all. We are so grateful you took the time to come see us at our new location, the pictures you posted were fabulous; we love being tagged and seeing all of the goodies you discovered. We are endlessly inspired by what moves you, and we try to reflect that in our search for new-to-you treasures.

A special thanks to the town of Berryville and their police department for helping us all get in and out of the Fairgrounds safely; it makes for a happy day when you don’t have to worry about traffic snafus. Also, we are eternally grateful for all that our staff and volunteers did to make this event, one of the jewels in our Lucketts Store crown, such a brilliant success. Your dedication and love for what you do are obvious for all to see.

So we’re rested, we’ve taken a deep breath and are re-energized to (believe it or not!) start thinking about Lucketts Spring Market 2018!

In the meantime, see you back at our homestead, The Old Lucketts Store!

3 Days left – What to Wear?

You look MARVELOUS darling! Seriously, you always do. But while we all have our best “I’ll look amazing in pictures” outfits, for Lucketts Spring Market, we recommend a mix of adorable AND practical. You want to make sure your clothes and shoes don’t get in the way of your shopping bliss.

From our personal “I wish I hadn’t worn stilettos to the farmer’s market” file, here are our BEST recommendations:

  1. Keep your eye on the sky. If it might rain, wear a parka and your rain boots. Nothing spoils a good time more quickly than being cold and wet. Wear layers and you will be ready for anything.
  2. Don’t carry a big bag, as tempting as it will be to try to throw your purchases in your   shoulder bag, it will get cumbersome quickly and in areas of tight space, you won’t want to risk bumping into displays with your purse.
  3. We will have wagons available for rent; perfect for carrying all of your small items A fanny pack (seriously!) is a smart idea for cash and credit cards. Keep your hands as free as possible; you will be glad you did when there is so much to treasure hunting to be done.
  4. Wear the “right” shoes. Cowboy boots? Awesome. Comfy flats? Perfect. Sneakers? Well done. High heels? Not recommended. The ground might be soft and you don’t want to spend the day prying your feet out of the dirt.

So, dress for success, you’ve got this. We can’t wait to see your smiling face; that smile makes any outfit work.

4 Days until Wine, Beer and Song

As if the news could get ANY better, Lucketts Spring Market will also be your chance to hear some amazing live music and experience a condensed version of that winery and brewery tour you’ve been planning since the weather turned glorious. Wear your scootin’-boogie boots, grab a tall one and stay a while.

Award winning singer/songwriter Adam Bruno, named one of Nashville’s Emerging Artists AND nominated for Pop Artist of the Year, will be joining us again on the Lucketts Spring Market stage. WHOO-HOO!!! His soulful and swoon-y voice has made him one of our favorites, not to mention a hot ticket in tours throughout the U.S. and Europe. Take it from us, you want to secure yourself a good spot when he’s rocking the house.

Listen to Adam with liquid refreshment in hand; we’re bringing Fabbioli Cellars and Vanish Brewery to you on ALL 3 Market days!

Family-owned and operated Fabbioli Cellars has over 30 years of winemaking experience; their wines have won some of the country’s most prestigious competitions (double gold, people!). We are fortunate to have them bringing their very best selections to The Clarke County Fairgrounds for us to sample and fall in love with. These folks are real people who serve Earth friendly wines and who love what they do as much as we love them for doing it. Lots of additional info here: FabbioliWines

Vanish Farmwood Brewery, our neighbor at The Old Lucketts Store, will be supplying the tall, frosty ones. Vanish is located on 53 acre Black Hops Farm, brewed with local ingredients, they offer a mind-bending variety of flavors for every palate. Did we mention that includes our namesake, Old Lucketts Store Light? Check them out here: vanishbeer

We literally CAN’T WAIT to get the party started…only a few more days to go!
